Eliptical

I wasn’t in the mood to run today.  I keep my heart rate low and remembered to drink my water.  Luckily, there was no need for a potty break.

This weekend I officially start training for the 10 mile race in May.  I’ll be training with a few friends who are also doing the race.  We’re going to try to meet once a week to do a long run together.  This will most likely be a gym with an awesome track centrally located to all of us….not close enough to me to use more often.

Meeting at the track, will let us stay together without worrying about pace.  We can cheer each other as we pass and we’ll always be able to see the others.  And for me it as a bathroom.  LOL

Gym night

If it wasn’t for the girlie, I wouldn’t have gone to the gym.  She likes to go visit with her friends in the child center.  Thank goodness!

I <3 new shoes

I took a good look at the bottom of my shoes.  Oh, boy…they were almost bald.  There is no tread on the outside toes.  I brought them with me to the running store.  I really love these shoes.  They have been the most comfortable shoes I’ve had.  The store had the same model…and on sale!

I can’t wait to wear them.  I’m hoping to walk tomorrow…rest my hip until Monday evening.

elliptical

I still had some energy to burn after I cut my run short.  I headed into the fitness room to see if my dad was there.  He wasn’t…found out later he slept in.  An elliptical was open.  I wasn’t sure my hip was up for it, but gave it a try.  I had very little pain.  Nothing like a good sweat.

More Wii Fit Boxing

I did a few activities on the Wii Fit tonight, but I kept coming back to boxing.  The beginner session is 3 minutes and the advanced is 6…there is an expert level for 10 minutes, but I’m not there yet.

I did the beginner session 3 or 4 times and the advanced twice.  My hubby came down and was watching.  He was trying to coach me on the moves…right, left, duck….LOL.  It was pretty funny.

Wii Fit workout

My husband was up and out of the house before I had a chance to workout. I popped in Wii Fit and some fun with my daughter. I really enjoy the boxing drills. I tried the advance drills. I didn’t get much out of it, because I kept messing up. I went back to beginning drills. I’ll keep working at that level until I become a “calorie burner”. LOL
